About the Company
Noida International Airport (NIA) is India's most significant new airport infrastructure project in years - a greenfield airport built outside Delhi by Zurich Airport International, set to become one of the largest aviation hubs in North India. As the airport approached commercial operations, its digital presence had to do double duty: introduce the new airport to a national audience and act as the operational front-end for passengers (flight information, terminal services, FAQs) and corporate stakeholders alike.
NIA chose Tequity to build, launch, and run the airport's digital flagship - the corporate and passenger website - in close collaboration with the Zurich Airport team.
The Challenge
Building a website for a soon-to-launch international airport is not a marketing exercise. It is a delivery problem with very specific constraints:
- Greenfield digital presence: No existing site, no existing content. Everything from information architecture to brand voice had to be defined from scratch.
- Bilingual delivery: Full English and Hindi parity, including a custom Hindi dictionary for translation consistency.
- Live operational data: Arrival, departure, and flight status pages had to integrate with real flight data APIs.
- Enterprise CMS: The build had to deliver on Sitecore, NIA's chosen content platform, with all the rigor that comes with it.
- Multi-stakeholder coordination: Active collaboration was required with NIA's team in India and the parent Zurich Airport team based abroad.
- SEO from day one: With high search interest expected at and around launch, SEO had to be designed in - not bolted on.
Solution Implemented by Tequity
Tequity ran the engagement as a single integrated team across content, design, and development - tightly coordinated with NIA and Zurich Airport stakeholders.
Content and Information Architecture:
- Defined the corporate and passenger site structure from a blank page.
- Built the page-by-page content set in English, with multiple feedback iterations against NIA and Zurich.
- Built the Hindi version with a custom Hindi dictionary to ensure terminology consistency.
- Set up the SEO content engine, including a dedicated blog program for organic search capture.
Design:
- Style cracking and homepage UI design finalized first as the visual foundation.
- Page-by-page Figma design across Arrivals, Departures, Airlines, and the broader corporate and passenger sections.
- Multiple iterations to align with NIA brand and Zurich Airport guidelines.
Sitecore Engineering:
- Homepage built first as the foundation, followed by progressive build-out across the rest of the site.
- Flight data API integration for live arrival, departure, and status pages.
- Implementation of bilingual page management and corresponding URL structures.
- SEO audit and metadata rework after launch to push organic visibility.
Launch and Post-Launch:
- The English website went live on October 6, 2025 at www.niairport.in.
- The bilingual (English + Hindi) version followed in December 2025.
- Tequity continues to manage news releases, tenders, and ongoing content updates as NIA approaches commercial operations launch.
Results
The website is now NIA's primary digital surface ahead of operations launch:
- 10,000+ visitors in the first month after the website went live
- Bilingual (English + Hindi) website live across passenger and corporate sections
- Live flight data integration powering arrival, departure, and status pages
- SEO engine in motion with audited metadata and an active blog program
