Our Story
Born from builder frustration
We started Tequity because we were tired of seeing promising AI ideas die in the gap between research and production. The world had enough model-builders. What it needed was engineers who could ship.
Today, Tequity is one of the most experienced applied AI product teams in the world - 100+ people across Product, Design, Engineering, and QA, shipping in production for VC-backed startups from pre-seed to Series B.
2020
Ajay Kumar, Rahul Nair, and Balaji V founded Tequity to be the reliable partner startups never had. They had built product companies before and knew the journey from idea to product-market fit.
2023
Tequity merged with Beyond Design (founded by Ishiyetaa Sani) and WebSoham (founded by Deepak Bhagya) - bringing together multidisciplinary expertise across product strategy, design, and engineering.
2024
Tequity grew to over 100 people across Product Management, Design, Engineering, and QA. Jodhpur Technology Centre opened. 25+ AI products shipped.
2025
Mumbai Design Centre opened. 50+ AI products shipped. AI-first since 2023, building voice AI, computer vision, and LLM applications before most agencies understood what was possible.
